Calling them home

But sparkled like the stars
In the night sky
Extinquished.

Who brought joy
Into the misery of some
Brought kindness
Into the harshness of others
Brought innocence
And passion
Into the bitterness and apathy of more
Snuffed out.

Each with a unique glow
Each with an irreplaceable radiance
Gone
Supplanted with shadows
Of sadness
Of fear
Of hate
A darkness
